Climbing / Dynamic ropes

Dynamic ropes are the ropes used in (sport) climbing. Dynamic climbing rope is designed with a high degree of elasticity to protect a climber from injuries in the event of a fall. This type of climbing rope is often used in rock climbing, sports hall climbing or mountaineering. Dynamic rope is usually used for top rope because it has a certain degree of give.
They are sufficiently elastic (up to 37% at the first fall) to safely absorb a fall. However, they are relatively weak when statically loaded.
