Double lanyard with integrated energy absorber
ABSORBICA-Y 150 is a double lanyard with a compact energy absorber, designed for progression on a vertical structure or a horizontal lifeline, and for passing intermediate anchors. It works with users weighing between 60 and 140 kg. It has different connection options on the harness and can be used with different types of connectors.
Description
- Designed for progression on a vertical structure or horizontal lifeline, and when passing intermediate anchors
- Absorbs energy in the event of a fall:
- Progressive tearing of the energy absorbing strap limits the impact force on the user
- Works with users weighing between 60 and 140 kg (1)
- Designed for use with a maximum length (including connectors) of:
- 200 cm according to CE EN 355 standard
- 183 cm (6 feet) according to ANSI Z359.13
- Minimum size:
- The energy absorber's very compact design does not hinder the user during operation
- Elasticated arms so as not to impede progression
- Durable fabric bag with an easy opening system protects the energy absorber from wear or contamination and allows for regular inspection of the absorber
- Two options for installation on the harness, depending on the use:
- Frequent connection/disconnection: with a carabiner held in the correct position by the STRING positioning accessory (included with the lanyard)
- Semi-permanent connection: with a Petzl RING OPEN (for example Petzl Swivel Open) gated ring, whose round shape allows for optimal positioning
- Two connector options for the end of the lanyard: a lockable carabiner (for example Petzl Eashook Open) or Petzl MGO Open connector with large gate opening
