This small 112-page topoguide takes stock of all the canyons of the Roya valley, in the Alpes-Maritimes. Retraced since storm Alex which changed the profile of certain routes, it presents the most famous canyons as well as those that have remained more discreet.
23 sites are described. Each sheet is the subject of a descriptive introduction, specifies the characteristic elements (commune, map, height difference, length, departure altitude, approach, descent and return times, useful rope length, rating, length of the possible shuttle). A description details access, approach and return. A simplified map of each site makes it easier to understand and avoids getting lost... And a detailed topographical profile allows you to have a precise overview of obstacles.
Flows always present or dry canyons, very long races (with bivouac) or initiation descents, the Roya valley, although less frequented since the passage of the storm, nevertheless offers a large number of canyons which are still interesting.
