In any mountain sport, self-rescue is the unfinished business we should all know and almost never have considered. In the case of canyoning knowledge and respect for safety standards is not enough because it takes place in a changing environment in which accidents and mishaps can easily rob us.
This manual will propose something new, different. Also remember the essential techniques, the authors insist on something as fundamental as is the attitude and mindset as important factors in solving accidents. The goal is not to stay locked if circumstances make our knowledge, sometimes very rigid and static, are not enough by themselves. The conclusion is that if we know the knots and their usefulness, if we are clear how mechanical devices that can bring in a ravine handled, if we perform some basic maneuvers progression by strings and if we are able to learn the basics of the various maneuvers self-rescue, we ourselves will be able to build our own maneuvers.
